Der Zweck der in dieser EN festgelegten Anforderungen und Prüfungen ist, ein Mindestmaß an Sicherheit für den Einsatz der Geräte bis zu einer maximalen Tiefe von 50 m sicherzustellen. Laborprüfungen und praktische Leistungsprüfungen sind enthalten, um die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen feststellen zu können.
