Diese ÖNORM EN beschreibt vier Verschleiß-Prüfmethoden für textile Bodenbeläge, durch die die mechanische Begehbeanspruchung simuliert wird. Prüfung A: Bestimmung des Masseverlustes; Prüfung B: Treppenkantentest; Prüfung C: Bestimmung der Fasereinbindung von Synthetik-Schlingenpol-Teppichen; Prüfung D: Bestimmung der Fasereinbindung von Nadelvlies-Bodenbelägen. Die Norm ist anwendbar auf alle fertig ausgerüstete textile Bodenbeläge nach ISO 2424. Sie beschreibt das anzuwendende Prüfgerät und die Durchführung der Prüfungen und gibt Hinweise für die Auswertung. Im Anhang A enthält sie Merkmale für die Bewertung der Treppenneigung.
