Diese ÖNORM legt die Qualitäts-Sortierung für Rundholz von Lärchen (Larix spp.) und Douglasie (Pseudotsuga) fest. Die Sortierung wird entweder nach den Abschnitten 4 und 5 oder nach Abschnitt 6 vorgenommen. Die Abschnitte 4 und 5 beschreiben die verwendungsneutrale Qualitäts-Sortierung (Qualitäts-Sortierung von Holz, dessen Verwendung noch nicht bekannt ist). Abschnitt 6 gibt die Merkmale an, die in allen nationalen Normen zur Beschreibung einer verwendungsbezogenen Qualitäts-Sortierung (Qualitäts-Sortierung von Holz, dessen beabsichtigte Verwendung bekannt ist) für Lärchen- und Douglasien-Rundholz enthalten sein müssen. Dieser Abschnitt dient auch als Leitfaden für Verträge.
