Dieses Dokument behandelt die signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse, wie sie in Abschnitt 4 aufgelistet sind und die auf Vertikalplattenkreissägemaschinen mit Handbeschickung und Handentnahme - im folgenden als "Maschinen" bezeichnet -, zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und entsprechend den vorhersehbaren Bedingungen des Herstellers verwendet werden. Die Maschinen sind zum Schneiden von Platten bestimmt. Die Anforderungen dieses Dokuments gelten auch für Maschinen, die zum Nuten mit einer Nutbreite von höchstens 20 mm in einem Arbeitsgang mit einem Fräswerkzeug bestimmt sind. Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Vertikalplattenkreissägemaschinen mit Druckbalken, bei denen das Sägeaggregat hinter der Werkstückauflage angeordnet ist.
