Diese Norm enthält die Anforderungen an kontinuierlich schmelztauchveredelte Flacherzeugnisse mit Überzügen aus Zink (Z), Zink-Eisen-Legierungen (ZF), Zink-Aluminium Legierungen (ZA), Aluminium-Zink-Legierungen (AZ) und Aluminium-Silicium Legierungen (AS) aus Stählen mit hoher Streckgrenze zum Kaltumformen (siehe Tabellen 1 und 3) in Dicken kleiner gleich 3,0 mm, falls nicht anders vereinbart. Als Dicke gilt die Enddicke des gelieferten Erzeugnisses nach dem Schmelztauchveredeln. Diese Norm gilt für Band aller Breiten sowie für daraus abgelängte Bleche (Breite größer gleich 600 mm) und Stäbe (Breite kleiner 600 mm). Die Erzeugnisse nach dieser Norm eignen sich für Verwendungszwecke, bei denen bei definierter Mindeststreckgrenze die Kaltumformbarkeit und der Widerstand gegen Korrosion von vorrangiger Bedeutung sind.
