Diese Norm gilt für kontinuierlich warmgewalztes Blech und Band (in Rollen) aus weichen Stählen zum Kaltumformen. Nach seiner tatsächlichen Breite wird das Band unterteilt nach Warmbreitband mit Breiten >= 600 mm und längsgeteiltes Warmbreitband mit Breiten < 600 mm. Diese Norm enthält für jede erfasste Stahlsorte die Anforderungen an die chemische Zusammensetzung und die mechanischen Eigenschaften. Diese Norm gilt für Erzeugnisse in Dicken >= 1,0 mm und <= 11 mm. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Erzeugnisse, die in anderen Normen erfasst sind, z.B. warmgewalzte Erzeugnisse aus unlegierten Baustählen (EN 10025), Flacherzeugnisse aus Stählen für Druckbehälter (EN 10028), Flacherzeugnisse aus Stählen für geschweißte Gasflaschen (EN 10120), Vergütungsstähle (EN 10083-1 und EN 10083-2).
