Diese ÖNORM enthält die Zuordnung der kleinsten zulässigen Nenngrößen von Elektro-Installationsrohren der ÖNORMEN-Serie E 6540 bis E 6548 aus Metall oder Isolierstoff zu Anzahl und Querschnitt der einzuziehenden Leitungen gemäß ÖVE K41. Sie ist bei der Planung und Ausführung von Elektro-Installationen zur Bestimmung der Nenngrößen (Rohrweiten) der zu verlegenden Elektro-Installationsrohre anzuwenden. Für Installationen mit Rohren gemäß der demnächst ersetzten ÖVE IM/IEC 614 ist weiterhin ÖNORM E 6599 anzuwenden.
