Diese Technische Spezifikation, Teil 28 der EN 13130, legt ein Analyseverfahren zur Bestimmung von 1,1,1-Trimethylolpropan in den Prüflebensmitteln destilliertes Wasser, 3%ige Essigsäure (m/V) in wässriger Lösung, 15%iges Ethanol (Volumenanteil) in wässriger Lösung und rektifiziertes Olivenöl fest. Das Verfahren eignet sich zur quantitativen Bestimmung von 1,1,1-Trimethylolpropan im angenäherten Konzentrationsbereich des Analyten von 0,6 mg/kg bis 12 mg/kg Prüflebensmittel. Das Verfahren sollte auch auf andere wässrige Prüflebensmittel sowie weitere fettige Prüflebensmittel, z. B. Sonnenblumenöl, Maiskeimöl oder eine Mischung synthetischer Triglyceride, anwendbar sein.
