Diese Technische Spezifikation, Teil 19 der EN 13130, legt ein Analyseverfahren zur Bestimmung von Dimethylaminoethanol in den Prüflebensmitteln destilliertes Wasser, 3%ige Essigsäure (m/V) in wässriger Lösung, 15%iges Ethanol (Volumenanteil) in wässriger Lösung und rektifiziertes Olivenöl fest. Das Verfahren eignet sich zur quantitativen Bestimmung von Dimethylaminoethanol im angenäherten Konzentrationsbereich des Analyten von 3,4 mg/kg bis 36 mg je Kilogramm Prüflebensmittel. Das Verfahren sollte auch auf andere wässrige Prüflebensmittel sowie weitere fettige Prüflebensmittel, wie z. B. Sonnenblumenöl und eine Mischung synthetischer Triglyceride, anwendbar sein.
