The objective of this Austrian Standard is to specify the requirements for wooden forest offcuts for energetic use in firing systems with a fuel thermal output exceeding 500 kW. On the basis of ÖNORM EN 14961-1, wooden forest offcuts are defined as solid fuel originating from "forest and plantation wood as well as freshly-cut wood" sold under the designation "chipped wooden offcuts" and "shredder wood". This ÖNORM shall be applied jointly with ÖNORM EN 14961-1.
