The requirements and tests specified in this ÖNORM shall apply to "extra light fuel oil" and "extra light oil - sulfur free".
With regard to the sulfur content, two qualities are defined in this ÖNORM (extra light fuel oil and extra light fuel oil - sulfur-free). Extra light fuel oil - sulfur-free is only suitable for use in such burner systems, for which there is a corresponding permission from the burner manufacturer. In certain plants, according to the manufacturer's specifications or local wastewater regulations, only extra light sulfur-free heating oil may be used.
