This Austrian Standard shall be applied to anchors, connectors and dowels intended to fasten mechanically, in addition to bonding on the substrate, the external thermal insulating composite systems according to ÖNORM B 6400 and ÖNORM B 6405 - also for deflection of horizontal wind power and in order to ensure durable friction adhesion. These fastening devices are inserted through the insulating material into the supporting substrate and shall be provided with the appropriate European Technical Approval (ETA) for this application as well as with CE-marking.
