Die Norm enthält Hinweise auf bauliche Erfordernisse für dieUnterbringung von elektrischen Anlagen (Schaltanlagen, Transformatorenstationen u. dgl.) in Gebäuden, die nicht ausschließlich elektrotechnischen Zwecken gewidmet sind, z. B. Wohnhäusern, Geschäftsgebäuden und Schulen. Die Räume,in denen solche elektrischen Anlagen untergebracht sind, werden als elektrische Betriebsräume bezeichnet. Die Norm enthält insbesondere grundsätzliche Erfordernisse, Angaben über die bauliche Ausführung, über die Lüftung, den Zugang und die Transportwege, über den Lärmschutz sowie über beson-dere bauliche Maßnahmen gegen die Auswirkungen von Stör- lichtbögen in Schaltanlagen.
