Diese ÖNORM enthält Bestimmungen über die Ausführung, Prüfung und Kennzeichnung von Türschlössern (Haupt- und Zusatzschlösser), Schließblechen, Schließzylindern und Türbeschlägen aus güteüberwachter Fertigung, die für den Einbau in einbruchhemmende Türen entsprechend der ÖNORM B 5338 geeignet sind. Diese ÖNORM verweist auf Bestimmungen für weitere einbruchhemmende Nachrüstsysteme für Fenster und Türen nach DIN 18104-1 und -2 (ausgenommen Zusatzschlösser). Diese Baubeschläge dürfen auch zur Nachrüstung bereits eingebauter Abschlüsse eingesetzt werden. Nicht unter den Anwendungsbereich dieser ÖNORM fallen Fallengarnituren und Schlossgarnituren für gebohrte Aufnahmen (Knopfschlösser) sowie Schlösser für Schiebetüren. Auch Bänder und Bandsicherungen sind nicht Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM.
