This Austrian Standard provides general principles for quality assurance of pipeline components (pipes, fittings, valves and connections), which are used in municipal and industrial water systems. The requirements for the respective pipe members, the applicable test methods and the specific rules of quality assurance are specified in the applicable document of such products. Moreover, the present ÖNORM is generally effective for securing the quality characteristics of pipeline components and also serves as a basis for quality assurance in the relevant measure-effective standards.
This ÖNORM can be applied also for the quality assurance of pipeline components in buildings.
