Auf Körnungen, die vollständig oder teilweise aus Recyclingbaustoffen bestehen, die nicht natürlichen Ursprungs sind und/oder industriell verändert wurden (Beton, Asphalt, Ziegelsplitt) sind bestimmte Prüfungen dieser Norm nicht anwendbar. Die Prüfungen umfassen die Korngrößenbestimmung, die semiquantitative röntgenographische Mineralanalyse sowie die Frosthebungsprüfung.
