This ÖNORM describes the features of an apparatus used for plate loading testing and provides guidelines for the execution and analysis of plate loading tests. Plate loading tests are applied for assessing the deformability and bearing capacity of soils as well as unbound and not hydraulically bound layers. The depth reach of this test is limited with once to twice the diameter of the load plate.
