Diese ÖNORM enthält Bestimmungen über die Anforderung, Prüfung und Kennzeichnung von Drehflügeltüren und -toren sowie Pendeltüren in ein- und zweiflügeliger Ausführung, in der Folge als "Feuerschutzabschlüsse" (frühere Bezeichnung "Brandschutztüren" und "Rauchabschlüsse") bezeichnet, die den neuen Feuerwiderstandsklassen E 30, E 60, E 90 bzw. EI2 30, EI2 60 und EI2 90 entsprechen. Ausgenommen von dieser ÖNORM sind sonstige Feuerschutzabschlüsse (siehe ÖNORM B 3852), Dachbodenabschlüsse (siehe ÖNORM B 3860) und sonstige Brandschutzabschlüsse (siehe ÖNORM B 3800-3). Feuerschutzabschlüsse dürfen geeignete Verglasung aufweisen.
