This ÖNORM specifies requirements for bitumen used for road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as for other paved areas. This ÖNORM shall be applied jointly with ÖNORM EN 12591. Even though the specifications for bitumen for industrial specifications can be found in ÖNORM B 3611-2 and ÖNORM EN 13305, bitumens specified according to this ÖNORM may also be used for industrial applications.
