ÖNORM B 3596

This ÖNORM specifies, based on the specific geographic, topographic and climatic conditions in Austria, selected requirements for surface dressings as a product for the surface treatment of roads and other trafficked areas, according to ÖNORM B 3130, ÖNORM EN 15322, ÖNORM B 3508 and ÖNORM B 3613 as well as ÖNORM EN 12271. This ÖNORM shall be applied jointly with the other standards listed. To cover the load situation in Austria different types of surface dressings and requirements for the aggregates used are defined. This ÖNORM does not apply - to surface dressings designed by the purchaser. - to small areas of surface dressing on roads that are less than 500 m2 which are not contiguous (for example patch repair surface dressing especially when carried out manually). - to surface dressings carried out in tunnels and where fire regulations apply. - to aircraft pavements that are covered by international regulations, for example, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations (airfields).
