This ÖNORM is applicable in addition to ÖNORM EN 805 for design, construction and testing of water distribution systems and components outside buildings. If the purpose of underground pipelines outside buildings is similar to supply pipelines according to ÖNORM EN 806 "Technical rules for drinking water installations" (all parts), the pipeline shall be classified according to EN 806 (all parts) and ÖNORM B 2531. For industrial water pipelines all the provisions of this ÖNORM, which have special requirements for the conservation of drinking water, may be eliminated.
