Für Wasserleitungssysteme "innerhalb von Gebäuden", entsprechend dem Anwendungsbereich der Normenserie ÖNORM EN 806, gilt diese ÖNORM jedoch nur insoweit, als es Wasserleitungen, Rohrverbindungen und Absperrarmaturen betrifft. Symbole für weitere Bereiche der Normenserie ÖNORM EN 806 sind der ÖNORM EN 806-1 zu entnehmen. Die in dieser ÖNORM enthaltenen graphischen Symbole sind in der Regel jeweils zusammen mit einem Stück der zugehörigen Rohrleitung dargestellt. Ihr Maßstab ist dem jeweiligen Zweck anzupassen.
