The present Austrian Standard includes requirements and examples for design of façades of wood and wood-based materials for building class 4 and higher, irrespective of the wall material behind. The design variants presented meet the criteria of ÖNORM B 3800-5 and can be applied according to the OIB Guideline 2 "Fire protection" for building classes 4 and 5 up to an escape level of 13 m. This ÖNORM does not apply to buildings of classes 1 to 3 as well as for façades not made od wood or wooden materials.
