This ÖNORM applies to the design of overall stability of
- embankments
- slopes and
- because of constructive elements and buildings secured steps of terrain.
In this ÖNORM are determined calculation basis and common calculation methods
- for the plane state of strain of a sliding body on a circular cylindrical, on one or more levels composed or on any sliding surface,
- for discontinuities defined three dimensional failure mechanism.
This ÖNORM contains also information about the valuation of calculation results.
Slopes classified as geotechnical category 3 according to ÖNORM B 1997-2: 2017, Annex A shall be subjected to separate investigations, which may go beyond the determination of this ÖNORM.
