This ÖNORM specifies a hierarchical classification scheme for function- and product-related identification of systems and their documentation in the field of properties/buildings including the technical building equipment. Each element in each hierarchy level is assigned a unique identification code (AKS-code), which is made up of alphanumeric identification tables for various identification blocks and the respective structural levels. This identification system can also be applied for the services in the usage phase. For projects in which the Building Information Modeling (BIM) method is used, the existing identification system can be expanded by the respective owner, builder or client as part of the client information request.
