Diese ÖNORM ist ein Teil des gesamten Normenwerkes ÖNORM B 1801 "Bauprojekt- und Objektmanagement" und stellt eine Ergänzung der ÖNORMEN B 1801-1 "Kosten im Hoch- und Tiefbau - Kostengliederung" und B 1801-2 "Kosten im Hoch- und Tiefbau - Objektnutzung - Objektdaten " sowie ÖNORM B 1801-4 " Bauprojekt- und Objektmanagement - Projektkommunikation " dar. Auf Basis dieser Kennzahlen können Planungsziele für Quantität, Qualität, Kosten und Termine definiert werden. In der vorliegenden ÖNORM werden Kennzahlen innerhalb des Objektlebenszyklus dargestellt. Diese Norm dient der Bildung von Kennzahlen, welche für technische und wirtschaftliche Analysen bei Objektplanungen verwendet werden. Für Verkehrswerte ist die ÖNORM B 1802 "Liegenschaftsbewertung" anzuwenden. Für Wert- und Funktionsanalysen ist nach den Gesichtspunkten der Optimierung die ÖNORM EN 12973 "Value Management" heranzuziehen.
