The present Austrian Standard represents a collection of technical rules for the anticipatory holistic consideration of physical security and for the provable implementation of relevant inspections concerning mandatory and required caution in non-residential buildings (processed organizational knowledge on building security). The physical security inspection routines listed in this ÖNORM can be applied to non-residential buildings in the field of building construction. Residential buildings according to ÖNORM B 1300 as well as buildings in the field of civil engineering are not covered by this ÖNORM. Furthermore, this Austrian Standard does not apply to production plants operating within buildings which are subject to official approval procedures concerning factory management. Possible official procedure steps are not dealt with by this ÖNORM.
