This Austrian standard ensures at the beginning of the conception and planning phase specifications and data transfer specifications for the subsequent Building Information Modeling (BIM) planning process for object operation. This ÖNORM specifies requirements for data exchange over the entire life cycle of BIM-based planning processes according to ÖNORM A 6241-1 and ÖNORM A 6241-2, irrespective of whether this data exchange takes place in accordance with these Austrian standards.
This Austrian standard applies to all model forms of BIM, it distinguishes for example not between Open BIM and Closed BIM.
