The present Austrian Standard specifies the technical implementation of a unified, structured 3plus-dimensioned data model for building construction and related spatial civil engineering constructions based on Building Information Modeling (BIM). The data model represents the basis for the cooperation (technical implementation of data exchange and of a common data model as well as of data storage of information) of all those taking part in the the life time cycle management, starting from the idea, planning and execution, economic control up to demolition and disposal. This ÖNORM provides the bases for a comprehensive, unified, product-neutral, systematized exchange of graphical and meta data. The possibility of reverse compatibility with ÖNORM A 6241-1 is integrated part of the present standard.
