This Austrian Standard contains the definitions and criteria for the standardization of databases for the proof of suitability of economic operators (companies) and the data contained in these databases. This standardization enables the user to rapidly assess the suitability of economic operators by a traffic light system which is based on essential criteria. Therefore, this Austrian Standard supports the mutual recognition between national databases among the individual EU Member States as provided for in Directive 2014/24/EU. By means of a standardized national data collection, the data become easier to use throughout Europe (once only principle). The participant/user is provided with a consistent information point - an (European) "one-stop-shop". Furthermore, the practical design of the databases for the proof of suitability is defined in detail. Based on the relevant EU directives and the Austrian Federal Procurement Act, this standard establishes a standard which grants Austrian companies the opportunity to prove their suitability in the same way as companies from other countries where national databases already exist.
