Die Internationale Norm ISO 2965:2009 legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Luftdurchlässigkeit (LD) fest. Die Norm ist auf Materialien anwendbar, die als Zigarettenpapiere, Filterstabumhüllungen und Mundstückbelagpapier verwendet werden, einschließlich Materialien mit einer orientierten Zone oder diskreten luftdurchlässigen Zonen, wobei die gemessene Luftdurchlässigkeit mehr als 10 cm <(hoch) 3> (min <(hoch) -1> cm <(hoch) -2>) bei 1 kPa beträgt. Sie ist ebenfalls anwendbar auf Zigarettenpapier mit Bändern unterschiedlicher Luftdurchlässigkeit mit einer Bandbreite von 4 mm.
