Dieser Teil der der DIN ISO 1219 Normenreihe ist die Übersetzung der Internationalen Norm ISO 1219-1:2012/Amd.1:2016, die unter Leitung deutscher Experten des Arbeitsausschusses NA 060-36-10 "Graphische Symbole und Schaltpläne" im Fachbereich Fluidtechnik des DIN-Normenausschusses Maschinenbau (NAM) und der Arbeitsgruppe ISO/ 131/SC 1/WG 1 "Graphical symbols and circuit diagrams" erarbeitet wurde. Graphische Symbole dienen der Darstellung von fluidtechnischen Bauteilen und deren Funktion. Sie finden Anwendung in Schaltplänen, auf Typschildern, in Katalogen und Produktbeschreibungen. Dieser Teil von ISO 1219 legt Grundelemente der Symbole fest. Er stellt Regeln zur Bildung fluidtechnischer Symbole zur Verwendung an Bauteilen und in Schaltplänen auf.
