Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren für die Montage, Einstellung und Prüfung der Skibindungs-mechanik fest, in das auf praktische Art und Weise die Anforderungen der Internationalen Normen für Ski, Schuhe und Bindungen integriert sind. Sie richtet sich an alle Personen und Institutionen, die sich mit den oben genannten Verfahren befassen. Besonders richtet sie sich an den Sport-Einzelhandel. Sie gilt für eine Funktionseinheit Ski - Bindung - Schuh (S-B-S) für den alpinen Skilauf, von der mindestens ein Ausrüstungselement dem Benutzer gehört. ANMERKUNG Für den Bereich, in dem beide Ausrüstungsteile (SB und S) gemietet werden, ist ISO 13993 anwendbar, in der ein Messverfahren durch statistische Auswertung als Alternative zu der systematischen Messung vor Lieferung an den Endverbraucher angegeben wird.
