Dieser Teil von IEC 60664 enthält Festlegungen der Isolationskoordination für Betriebsmittel in Niederspannungsanlagen. Er gilt für Betriebsmittel zum Einsatz bis zu einer Höhe von 2000 m über Meereshöhe (NN) und mit einer Bemessungs-Wechselspannung bis 1000 V mit Nennfrequenzen bis 30 kHz oder einer Bemessungs-Gleichspannung bis 1500 V. Er legt die Anforderungen für Luftstrecken, Kriechstrecken und feste Isolierungen von Betriebsmitteln begründet auf deren Leistungsmerkmalen fest. Eingeschlossen sind Verfahren für elektrische Prüfungen in Bezug auf die Isolationskoordination.
