Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Elemente Calcium, Natrium, Phosphor, Magnesium, Kalium, Schwefel, Eisen, Zink, Kupfer, Mangan und Kobalt in Futtermitteln mittels Atomemissionsspektrometrie mit induktiv gekoppeltem Plasma (ICP-AES) nach Druckaufschluss fest. Die Bestimmungsgrenze des Verfahrens ist bei jedem Element sowohl von der Probenmatrix als auch von dem Gerät abhängig. Das Verfahren ist nicht für die Bestimmung von geringen Elementkonzentrationen anwendbar. Eine Bestimmungsgrenze von 1 mg/kg sollte normalerweise erreicht werden.
