Diese Europäische Norm legt zusätzliche Anforderungen für die Konstruktion von höhenverstellbaren Steuerständen an Kranen fest. Allgemeine Anforderungen für Steuerstände werden in prEN 13557 festgelegt. Diese Norm behandelt ebenfalls Anforderungen an das Antriebssytem, das Tragsystem und an Sicherheitseinrichtungen für höhenverstellbare Steuerstände. Gefährdungen, die während Transport, Auf- und Abbau, Änderung oder Wartung auftreten können, werden von dieser Norm nicht behandelt. Diese Norm ist nicht auf Aufzüge für Kranfahrer anwendbar.
