Dieser Teil der ISO 8062 gibt die Regeln zur geometrischen Bemaßung und Tolerierung für fertige Formteile und aus Formteilen gefertigte Teile an. Es werden Regeln und Konventionen zur Angabe dieser Anforderungen in der Technischen Produktdokumentation angegeben, und es werden Größenverhältnisse sowie Maße der zu verwendenden graphischen Symbole festgelegt. In diesem Teil der ISO 8062 werden Symbole angegeben, die zur Identifizierung der relativen Vollständigkeit der geformten Elemente und Formteile angewendet werden können. Diese graphischen Symbole sollten nicht mit den graphischen Symbolen für die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit nach ISO 1302 verwechselt werden, die bedeutend größer sind.
