Das Dokument gilt für Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für werksseitig aufgebrachte, extrudierte Polypropylen-Umhüllungen (PP-Umhüllung) für in Böden und Wässern verlegte Stahlrohre mit den Maßen nach DIN 2448 und DIN 2458, die ohne Schutz bis zu einem Jahr der direkten Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt weren können. Die zu erwartende Lebensdauer dieser Umhüllung ist von der Betriebstemperatur in der Tabelle 1 abhängig.
