Das Dokument gilt für Anforderungen und Prüfungen für Umhüllungen aus Korrosionschutzbinden und wärmeschrumpfenden Materialien für Rohrleitungen aus unlegierten Werkstoffen, die in Böden und Wässern verlegt werden. Es unterscheidet Umhüllungen für steigende mechanische Beanspruchung nach Beanspruchungsklasse A, B und C bei Dauerbetriebstemperatur bis 30 °C. Bei Dauerbetriebstemperaturen bis 50 °C müssen zusätzliche Anforderungen nach Abschnitt 4.1.5.1, 4.2.1, 4.2.3 und 4.2.4 erfüllt werden.
