Die Norm behandelt Anforderungen an Bauelemente für Kontaminations-Schutzkästen. Diese Schutzkästen werden in Heißen Zellen eingesetzt, deren Abschirmung vorzugsweise aus Bleibausteinen und speziellen Bauelementen nach DIN 25407 Teil 1 und 2 besteht. Mit den Bauelementen nach der Norm und denen nach DIN 25407 Teil 1 und 2 sind Heiße Zellen mit abgedichtetem Innenraum und Bleiabschirmung (Alpha-Gamma-Technik) herstellbar.
