Der Umgang mit offenen radioaktiven Stoffen kann entweder in kleinen Labors mit geringen Umgangsaktivitäten oder aber in Gebäuden mit mehreren Labors und hohem Aktivitätsinventar erfolgen. Aus diesem Grund werden im Sinne einer Merkpostenliste allgemeine Hinweise und Vorschläge für die Abfassung einer Strahlenschutzanweisung gegeben werden. Strahlenschutzanweisungen bilden darüber hinaus die Grundlage für die regelmäßigen Unterweisungen von sonst tätigen Personen durch im Strahlenschutz fachkundige Personen. Dieses Dokument gibt Hinweise für die Erstellung einer Strahlenschutzanweisung im Zusammenhang mit DIN 25425-4, besonders Anhang D.
