Diese Norm gilt für Maße, Ausführung und Werkstoffe von Hygiene-Flanschverbindungen mit O-Ring zum Stumpfschweißen an Rohre mit Abmessungen nach DIN 11866 und DIN EN 10357, Reihe A. Die Flanschverbindungen sind für folgende zulässige Drücke ausgelegt: Rohraußendurchmesser von 12,7 mm bis 41,0 mm: 2,5 MPa (25 bar); Rohraußendurchmesser von 42,4 mm bis 104,0 mm: 1,6 MPa (16 bar); Rohraußendurchmesser von 114,3 mm bis 154,0 mm: 1,0 MPa (10 bar). Diese Drücke in MPa (bar) können bei Verwendung geeigneter Dichtungswerkstoffe von -10 °C bis +140 °C angewandt werden.
