Babys und Kleinkinder sollten daher Schnuller oder Beruhigungssauger bekommen, die die Entwicklung des Kindes nicht negativ beeinflussen und an denen sich das Baby nicht verletzen kann. Diese ÖNORM legt Anforderungen an die Konstruktion sowie an die mechanischen und chemischen Eigenschaften fest und beschreibt die Prüfmethoden. Weiters werden Anforderungen an die Verpackung und die Gebrauchsanleitung festgelegt.
