This ÖNORM applies to the irrigation of public and private outdoor vegetation areas and serves as a basis for the calculation of the water quantity as well as the temporal distribution of the application.
Excluded are contiguous lawns with an area of more than 1 ha according to ÖNORM EN 12484 (all parts).
Also excluded are areas used for agriculture and forestry, sports fields according to ÖNORM B 2606-1 as well as golf courses according to ÖNORM L 1132 and ÖNORM L 1134 and production areas for plants or plant parts (e.g. tree nurseries, market gardens).
This ÖNORM does not cover fertilisation and plant protection measures in the course of irrigation.
