Die vorliegende Norm legt Anforderungen an Brandmelde-Einsatzleitsysteme zur komfortableren Darstellung des Zustandes und der Bedienung von Brandmelderzentralen nach ÖNORM EN 54-2 und Brandfallsteuerzentralen gemäß ÖNORM F 3001 in Brandmeldesystemen nach ÖNORM F 3000 fest. Die vor Ort installierten Brandmeldeanlagen und Brandfallsteuerungen müssen der TRVBS 123 bzw. TRVB 5151 entsprechen. Die gestellten Anforderungen beziehen sich sowohl auf die technischen Komponenten, zB zentrale Rechnereinheit, Druckerkapazität, als auch auf die organisatorischen Strukturen.
