Festgelegt sind die wesentlichen Anforderungen, Geltungsbereiche, Prüfbedingungen und Bewertungsanforderungen sowie die Prüfungsbescheinigung über die durchgeführte Prüfung des Schweißers für Kupferschweißungen an Halbzeugen und Fertigprodukten aus gewalzten, geschmiedeten oder gegossenen Werkstoffen. Für die Schweißerprüfung sollte der Nachweis gefordert werden, daß der Schweißer eine angemessene praktische Erfahrung und Fachkenntnisse (Prüfung nicht obligatorisch) hinsichtlich der Schweißprozesse, Werkstoffe und Sicherheitsanforderungen hat, für die er zugelassen werden soll. Erfaßt sind Schmelzschweißprozesse, soweit sie von Hand oder teilmechanisch ausgeführt werden. Vollmechanische und automatische Verfahren sind nicht behandelt.
