This European standard specifies the requirements andlor measures to remove the hazards and
limit the risk on one side thickness planing machines fitted with an integrated feed hereinafter
referred to as "machines", designed to cut solid wood, chipboard, fibreboard, plywood and also
these materials where they are covered with plastic laminate or edgings.
Electrically driven machines excluded form the scope of this standard are covered by the
requirements of EN 61 029-1 : 1995 or EN 50144-1: 1995 and prEN 61029-2-3: 1996.
