Bei Atemschutzgeräten für Strahlerarbeiten ist neben einer ausreichenden Versorgung mit frischer Atemluft auch wesentlich, daß der Träger an Kopf, Schultern und im oberen Bereich der Brust vor zurückprallendem Strahlgut geschützt wird, wobei auch zusätzliche Anforderungen and den Gehör- und Augenschutz gestellt werden müssen. Es wurden daher für diesen Sonderbereich die Anforderungen und Prüfungen gemäß der EN 270 "Atemschutzgeräte; Druckluft-Schlauchgeräte in Verbindung mit Haube; Anforderungen, Prüfung, Kennzeichnung" vorgeschrieben und durch auf die Verwendung bei Strahlerarbeiten bezogene zusätzliche Festlegungen ergänzt.
