Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen, die Probenentnahme, die Prüfverfahren und die Lieferbedingungen für Kupferrohre fest. Sie gilt für nahtlose Rundrohre aus Kupfer, die einen Außendurchmesser von 8 mm bis 54 mm haben und die für Rohrleitungssysteme zur Verteilung der folgenden medizinischen Gase bei Arbeitsdrücken bis zu 2 000 kPa oder unter Vakuum vorgesehen sind: Sauerstoff, Stickstoffoxide, Stickstoff, Helium, Kohlenstoffdioxid, Xenon; Atemluft; spezifische Mischungen aus den oben erwähnten Gasen; Luft zum Antrieb chirurgischer Instrumente; Gase und Dämpfe für die Anästhesie; Vakuum.
