Die vorliegende Norm legt die technischen Lieferbedingungen für geschweißte dünnwandige Stahlrohre aus nichtrostendem Stahl fest, die vorzugsweise für Wasser einschließlich Trinkwasser verwendet werden. Diese Rohre werden in geraden Längen geliefert, mit Eignung zum Verbinden durch Kleben, Kapillarfittings, Druckfittings, Pressfittings oder durch Inertgasschweißen. Die Norm deckt den Außendurchmesserbereich von 6 mm bis 267 mm ab. Zwei Stahlsorten aus EN 10088-2 sind festgelegt. Anmerkung: Andere Sorten nichtrostender Stähle dürfen angewendet werden. Die zugelassenen Sorten sind im informativen Anhang A aufgeführt. Die Verwendung anderer Sorten sollte zum Zeitpunkt der Anfrage und Bestellung vereinbart werden.
